Honest boundaries

When you should
not hire me.

Most provider pages explain why they are right for everything. This one does the opposite: it names the cases where I am not — so you can save yourself the first call if one of them applies. Every point says where to go instead.

Eight Criteria

Then I am the wrong choice.

Every point has a real reason and a practical alternative recommendation — so you do not waste your time.

When I am the wrong choice (Situation)

What makes sense for you instead (Recommendation)

Budget & Threshold

Your budget is below the entry threshold

An analysis starts at €690, and building starts at around €800 for a simple landing page. Below that I cannot offer anything seriously — any commitment under it would either be a loss or a quality I do not want to stand behind.

Free website check

It identifies the most critical weak points immediately and costs you nothing. Much of it you can implement yourself.

Operations & SLA

You need round-the-clock on-call support

I promise no SLA, no uptime guarantee and no 24/7 availability. Response times are working-day based, and I would rather write that down now than explain it during an incident.

Partners with an operations team

Genuine 24/7 operation requires a team, not an individual. I refer clients deliberately to trusted partners.

Ways of Working

You expect regular presence on site

I work remotely. Meetings by video, phone or messenger are a given; permanent presence in your offices is not. If your way of working is built on physical attendance, it does not fit structurally.

Just ask

For individual kickoff or strategy workshops something can often be arranged — feel free to ask before ruling it out.

Project Methodology

You want pure execution of a finished specification

If the solution is already decided and you are only looking for someone to type it up, I am the wrong choice. I ask why something should be built that way — that is the part of the work you are paying me for.

Prototype instead of a specification

If you are unsure whether the specification holds up in practice, that is exactly what the prototype approach is for.

Expectations

You want a ranking or revenue guarantee

Google decides the order on Google. Anyone guaranteeing position 1 is selling something they cannot deliver. I commit to implementation time, delivery volume and verifiable measurement — not an uncontrollable promise.

What SEO actually delivers

The article separates what can be promised from what cannot — also protecting you when evaluating other providers.

Timeline

You need the result in four weeks

Some things are fast: a prototype in two to three weeks, an automation in fourteen days. Visibility on Google is not among them. If revenue is missing right now, SEO is the wrong instrument.

What works in the short term

Paid campaigns deliver immediate results. In our initial call I will tell you openly what is realistic in your timeframe.

Collaboration

Nobody on your side can contribute

I need subject-matter answers, approvals and access. Without a person who is allowed to decide and has time for it, only generic work emerges — and the budget evaporates without anyone being at fault.

Come back later

This is not a permanent no. Feel free to reach out as soon as someone internally can take on that role reliably.

Infrastructure

You need network, SOC or hardware operations

I build software, websites and automation. Firewalls, server rooms, client management and ongoing security monitoring are not part of that — even though the word IT appears on both sides.

Web security vs. corporate IT security

For web and application security I am the right partner. For corporate IT infrastructure I refer specialised firms.

The Counter-Check

When it fits very well.

If you recognise your project in these points, a conversation is definitely worth it.

Scoped Project & Direct Decision Maker

Focus & Speed

A defined project scope with a clear goal and a designated contact person authorised to make approvals and decisions directly.

Understanding Why Over Blind Execution

High Quality Bar

You want to know why something is built a certain way — prioritising robust, future-proof architecture over merely typing out a spec sheet.

Guaranteed Fixed Price Over Open Billing

Budget Certainty

You prefer predictable fixed pricing over open-ended time-and-materials bills. You know exact deliverables and costs before launch.

Remote-First & Direct Communication

Maximum Efficiency

You appreciate streamlined collaboration via video, phone and messenger with dependable business-day response times and zero travel overhead.

Full Ownership & Zero Lock-In

100% Sovereignty

You want to fully own the code, repositories, domains and access credentials in the end — free of agency lock-in or proprietary traps.
